He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastiano Gangemi and Marianna Gangemi; his siblings, Katherine Pavone (Jospeh), Josephine Leone (Stanley), Santina Gangemi (Joseph), Michelina Gangemi, Michael Gangemi (Lillian), Thomas Gangemi (Nancy) and Venerando Gangemi (Geraldine); his former wife Carol Gangemi-Loce (DeFranco); and his stepson Joseph Malone (Robin).
He is survived by: his daughters, Marianna Elliotte (Patrick Morris), Carolynn O'Connell (Patrick Russi) and Kathleen Robertson (David); his stepdaughter Stacy Cortese (John); his grandchildren, Stephen Meteyer (Jennifer Smithers), Timothy Meteyer, Catherine Elliotte (Seamus Flynn), Nicole O'Connell (Joshua Rodriguez), Terry James O'Connell (Amity Engleson), Kristyn Robertson (Nick Barbera) and Michael Robertson (Alana); his great grandchild Sophia Rodriguez; and his stepgrandchildren, Samantha Vanlenti (Phil), John Cortese, Alysse Malone, Nicole Malone and Alexis Malone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A reception was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (445 Kings Hwy S, Rochester, NY 14617).
In lieu of flowers donations in Sebastian's name can be directed to Epilepsy Foundation or The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center.
