She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph E.; her parents, George Simonds and Mary Simonds; her foster parents, George Whelehan and Helen Whelehan; and her siblings, Richard, Donald, Kathleen, Marlene and Kenneth.

She is survived by: her stepsons, Joseph E. Resch Jr. (Alex Lichtenstein), David P. Resch (Diane Lawson), Stephen J. Resch (Karen Mestler), Kevin J. Resch (Mary Flannery) and Christopher R. Resch (Joanne Celano); her siblings, Marcia Simonds, Michael Whelehan (Camille), Marcia Reynders (Hank) and Marie Whelehan; and her sisters-in-law, Thelma Lochner, Madeline Resch, Lorraine Resch and Carol Gurgel. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church or St. Joseph Neighborhood Center in her memory.
