He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Murante (Danno); his son Stephen Barbato; his parents, Samuel Murante and Minnie Murante; and his siblings, Rocco, Michael, Frank Murante and Christine Meleo.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Barbato and Linda Best (David); and his cousin Patrick Teora. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
