She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Vay and Theresa Merkel Vay; her siblings, Selma Schmerbeck, Eunice LaVigne, Bernice Hammill, Gerry Richter and Donald Vay; and her great grandchild Jacob Aeckerle.
She is survived by: her children, Don (Sue), Jim (Mary), Paul (Claudia), Kathy Neu (Jerry), Bob (Cathy), Therese Bishop (Kevin), Beth Mink (Lou) and John (Judy); and her sisters, Mary Lou Lester and Marguerite Ryan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
