He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Calkins and Jeannette Mosamdel Calkins; and his wife Marie "Punky" Sullivan Calkins. He is survived by: his close friend Judy Gebauer of Great Valley, NY; his children, John Calkins of Great Valley, NY, Bradley Calkins of Blasdale, NY and Jeanette Pierson of Cheektowaga, NY; and his stepchildren, Tom Crouse (Jillian) of Little Valley, NY, Tony Crouse (Kim Kelly) of Limestone, NY, Arlene Smith (Patrick) of Limestone, NY and Lou Harrison (Jeff) of Salamanca, NY. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Cattaraugus County 4-H Program, 28 Parkside Drive, Ellicottville, NY 14731.
