She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Stein and Bella Stein (Horowitz); her husband Max Cohen; her children, Suzanne (Sandy) and Peter; and her brothers, Jacob and Frederick Stein.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Cohen (Bruce) and Carol Sheinberg (Dick); her grandchildren, Debbie Eichner (Mitch), Roni Parker (Bill), Peter Sheinberg (Jodi), Peter Salomon (Wendy), Evan Salomon, Holly Benter (Tim) and Paul Sheinberg (Rosie); her great grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke, Daniel (Stephanie), Joshua, Michael (Claire), David (Brittany), Jacob, Noah, Matthew, Bella, Max and Lainey; and her great great grandchild Macie.

“My mother (Marilyn Berman Kaplan) was Muriel's 1st cousin and her flower girl at their wedding. She was crying a lot this morning when she saw the Obit. She was so full of gratitude for all the wonderful things that Max and Muriel did for her and my Aunt Cookie when they were younger. She has no way to contact you but wanted to wish you long life.”
