He was predeceased by: his parents, Meyer Hershman and Sylvia Hershman; his brother Stanley; and his great-grandparents, Graham, Luke, Shep, Sutton and Harry.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Scott (Therese), Janet (Gerry), Douglas (Deborah) and Kenneth (Amy); and his grandchildren, Matthew (Amber), Sara (Tom), Gregory (Emily), Jillian (Aaron), Erica, Tom, Kaila, Jake (Megan), Sydney, Brian (Lauren) and Cami.
