He is survived by: his wife Carol Sheldon Lourie; his children, Nancy LaPorte (Barry) of Hoosick Falls and James of Wells, VT; his grandsons, Thomas LaPorte (Elizabeth), Matthew LaPorte (Jennifer), William Lourie and Justin Lourie; his sister Marion Sheldon (Harold); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, Carleigh, Kaydence, Madeline, Mason, Dabney, Henry and Lauren.
