She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Jacunski and Francis Jacunski; her sisters, Dorothy (Birchenough), Frances (Countryman) and Florence (O'Neil); and her children, Jeanne, Edward, Diana (Storm), Philip and Felicia (Mahar). She was also cherished by extended family including nine grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Irene succumbed to Alzheimer's shortly after her ninety-fourth birthday, but her smile was never diminished.
