He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pekar and Anna Pekar (Galesak); his son Frankie Pekar Jr.; and his siblings, Joan Kranak, Joseph Pekar and Robert Pekar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Peternell (Sanders) and Christina Lenney (Sanders); his sister Mary Firebaugh (Pekar); and his adoptive daughter Melanie Locke. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
