He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michaelsen and Evelyn Michaelsen (Somers); and his parents-in-law, Hobart and Patricia Geiersbach. He is survived by: his children, Todd (Reena) of Brooklyn, NY and Lyndsey of Saratoga Springs, NY.; his wife Connie of Granville, NY; and his brothers, John (Barbara Michaelsen), Kenneth (Barbara), Robert (Elaine Michaelsen) and Thomas (Claire Michaelsen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family will be honoring Don with a full military funeral at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery after COVID-19.
