He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy (Johnson); his parents, Herbert, Sr. and Irene (Pawling); his siblings, George, Guy and Rosetta DeKalb (Lee); his sisters-in-law, Joyce Boyd (Norman), Eunice Varga (Edward), Jean Turner (William), Carol Johnson and Karen; and his close friend Bertha Dennison.
He is survived by: his sons, Calvin, Jr. (Joanne) and Leon (Josephine); his siblings, Herbert, Jr. (Sandra), James (Debbie), William (Susan), Marie Belzer (Thomas) and Leone Barlow (Wesley); his siblings-in-law, David Johnson, Geraldine Rosalie and Shirley; and his pet Miss Kitty. He is also survived by two grandsons, a great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robert M. King Funeral Home (23 Church St, Granville, NY 12832). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Robert M King Funeral Home (23 Church St, Granville, NY 12832).
In lieu of flowers Calvin requests that donations be made to your local animal shelters and trees be planted in his honor (his favorite were Oaks).
