He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Donna Polano; his children, Kelly, Cristi, Jake and Kiersten (John); his parents, Philip J., Jr. and Margaret L. Schmehling; his siblings, Gregg Schmehling (Arlene) and Kim Schmehling; and his nieces and nephews, Libby and Chase. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
