He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. McCarthy and Laureen McCarthy Sr. (Buckley). He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Filipiak; his sons, Thomas K. McCarthy, John McCarthy (Wendy Lee), Steven McCarthy and James McCarthy (Corey); his sister Laureen O'Day; and his grandchildren, Chloe Van Nelson, Mykayla McCarthy and Matthew McCarthy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
