He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Boland and Miriam Boland (Evans); and his sisters, Dorothy McElrath, Beverly Boland and Charlotte Stubblefield.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Oatman; his daughters, Patricia Boland of Midlothian, VA, Michele Boland of Gowanda and Jennifer Boland of Syracuse; his stepchildren, Rustan Carpenter of Lakeview, Randy Carpenter (Lynn) of Eden and Renee Nosal (Bob) of Gowanda; his siblings, Dennis Boland, Dolores Sandmel and Carol McCoy; and his grandchildren, Jordan Nosal, Jake Nosal, Haidyn Carpenter, Winter Carpenter, Rose Carpenter, Danny Carpenter, Kailey Carpenter and Kaden Carpenter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, the Gowanda Ambulance Service, and the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department.
