He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Smith and Helena Smith (Hurley); and his sister Laurie (Darrell Allen). He is survived by: his wife Joann M. Hall; and his daughters, Jaylon (Michael Aloe), Nichole (Mason Grant) and Jennifer (Herbert Mitschele). He is also survived by brothers and sisters in-law; several nieces and nephews; and cousins.
