He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Emerson and Ruth Rice (Roberts). He is survived by: his wife Judy Rice of Fowler; his son Kermit (Angel Rice) of Fowler; his grandchildren, Michelle Rice, Shaelyn Matice, Patrick Rice, Skylar Matice and Myah Matice; and also, Penny and Dale Matice of Gouverneur.
