He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Matice and Vivian Matice (Fields); and his siblings, Wayne "Shakey" Matice, Terry "Elvira" Matice and Lucrita "Sis" Besaw.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Matice; his children, Tonya Matice (Joe Blair) of Gouverneur and Scott Matice (Jill) of Gouverneur; his grandchildren, Devin Matice, Lacee Wiestner, Jasmine Matice, Tucker Wiestner, Reid Matice, Kylie Currier and Brendan Currier; his great grandchildren, Levi Verburg and Grace Matice; and his brothers, Timothy "Tike" Matice (Lynn) of Gouverneur, Mitchell "Frog" Matice (Carol) of Gouverneur, Gene "Pene" Matice (Beth) of Gouverneur, Merton "Chick" Matice of Gouverneur, Dave "Burley" Matice, Michael "Buck" Matice of Gouverneur and Donnie "Twiggy" Matice (Mary) of Macomb. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
