She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Messina and Marion Messina (Pizzo); and her husband Phillip G. Young. She is survived by: her children, Steven Young (Natalie) of Gouverneur, Christine Brassard (Steve) of Edwards and Debbra Effertz (Robert Schadt) of North Syracuse; her siblings, Nicholas Messina (Robin) of Little Falls, John Messina of Frankfort and Margaret Munger of Utica; her grandchildren, Joseph Thompson, Alison Thompson, Nicholas Brassard, Britney Girard, Maria, Matthew Coyne, Anthony Colangelo and Isaiah Young; and her great grandchildren, Lindsey, Maci Girard, Jamison Joan Coyne, Makenzie, Alexis Rowe and Samantha Rusin.
