He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Butler and Dorothy Butler (McCready); and his sister Mildred Fifield. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice "Bea" A. Hooper; his children, Scott L. Butler of Fullerville and Diane M. Butler of Winsted, CT; his granddaughter Kensey Marie Harrington; and his siblings, James Butler (Rosemary Allen) of Edwards and Nancy Huling (Cecil Wells) of Heuvelton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
