She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Shanahan and Gertrude Shanahan (Lee); and her siblings, Sharon Zonak, Dolores Shanahan and Robert Shanahan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharyn Thompson, Sandra Thompson (Linton), Judith Thompson (Dave) and Jamie Love (Robert); her grandchildren, PJ, Amanda, Christopher, Gerhad, Rashad, Andre, Bradley, Sandra, Linton, Heather, Cassandra and Kristofer (Taylor); and her siblings, Nancy Deming, John Shanahan and Michael "Mike" Shanahan. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
