He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Kane and Thelma Kane (Bellinger); and his sisters, Anola Whittington and Kandie Williams. He is survived by: his children, Jackie Warner (Douglas), Kristy Kemmet (Jason), Tammi Kane, John Kane III (Stacey), Stephen Kane and Jason Kane; his brother Frank Bellinger (Stacy); his grandchildren, Zachery, Knicholas, Rylie, Chandler, Kyle, Sean, Mia, Tyler, Justin, Aleea and Andre; and his great grandchildren, Ava and Scarlett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial donations in John's memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY.
