He was predeceased by: his son Rick Dittmar; and his siblings, Paul Dittmar (Carolyn) and Lois Busch (late Al). He is survived by: his wife Joan Dittmar; his children, David Dittmar (Dawn) and Jennifer Campbell (Michael); his grandchildren, Shauna Dittmar (Mark Mendel), Lindsay Radt (Jeffrey), Ryan Dittmar, Owen Campbell and Brynn Campbell; his great grandchildren, Max, Grace, Luke, Amelia, Hazel and Kaiden; and his sister Deann Lorenz (Edwin).

Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kenneth Howe Funeral Home (64 Maple St, East Aurora, NY 14052). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (8740 Supervisor Ave, Colden, NY 14033).
