He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Markert and Frances Markert Sr.; and his sister Gertrude Leland. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughters, Linda FitzGibbons (Michael), Cynthia Ginther (Jeffrey) and Pamela Markert; his grandchildren, Courtney Manuel (Michael), Matthew Becker, Andrew Ginther (Katelynn) and Brianna Becker; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by neighbors, friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to the New York State Stock Car Association Member Benefit Fund, 10 Matthew Drive Castleton, NY 12033.
