He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl S. Newkirk and Elizabeth C. Newkirk; his son Robert; and his brothers, Warren J. and Earl H. Newkirk.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Tammy McGraw (Mark); his granddaughters, Allyson Haynes (Robbie), Margaret Fornadel (Nick) and Kathleen McGraw; his great grandchild Rowan Haynes; and his siblings, Roger E. Newkirk (Sharon) and Carol Monroe (Philip). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Those wishing to remember Bob may contribute to the Empire State Aerosciences Museum or the Thomas Corner's Volunteer Fire Department in Glenville, NY or to a charity of their choice.
