He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Povill and Sylvia Povill; his wife Nieves Cordoba; his daughters, Pilar and Lisa; his son-in-law Philip; and his granddaughter Alicia.

He is survived by: his daughter Nieves.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wildlife Conservation Society ("WCS") in Bronx, NY.
