He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Beatrice Mertens and Charles Mertens; his former wife June Pauline Mertens (Mullee); his siblings, Beverly Mertens (Myers) and Maynard C. Mertens; his nephew Daniel A. Capobianco of Lawrenceville, GA; his pets, Samantha and Cinder; his granddaughter Melissa Mertens (Missy) of Panton, VT; his sons, Paul Capobianco of Maysville, GA, Matthew P Mertens of Panton, VT and Mark C Mertens of Schenectady, NY; his granddaughter Rheanna R Mertens of Woburn, MA; and his former wife June P Mullee.
