She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Councilman and Mildred Councilman (Stanton); her brother Gerald Councilman; her grandson Shawn Walsh; her daughters, Lorie Getz (Greg) and Kathy Laing (Jason); and her grandsons, Dan (Joy), Steve (Cindy), Jon (Renee) and David Walsh (Melissa). She was also cherished by 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Shawn Walsh Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o BH-BL High School, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
