She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Robert Stewart and Bernice Stewart (Jones); her significant other Richard "Dick" Helbling; and her children, Stephen Helbling (Ann), Martha Bowman (Kevin), Andrew Helbling (Sherrie) and Christopher Helbling (Gina). She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A procession was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 10:45 AM. A burial was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871). A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (2635 Balltown Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309).
