She was predeceased by : her parents, Fredrick Zierau and Maria Zierau (Wulf); her former life partner Simon (Sam); and her siblings, Johanna Brown (Keane) and Fred Zierau.

She is survived by : her husband Sam Gangi of Brooklyn; her children, Nicolo Gangi (Patricia Brady-Gangi), Frances Gangi-Welge (Mark Welge) and Maria Wulf (Jon Katz); her grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica Welge, Sam, Johanna and Mia Gangi; and her sister Katie Daw. She is also survived by her family – she loved her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and children.
