She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Kluska and Idabel Kluska (Bisonet); and her husband Frederick "Fred" Blase. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Talbot (Walter), Cynthia Van Buren (late Martin) and Caroline Blase (Lisa Joyce); her grandchildren, Susan Martuscello (Christopher), Catherine Belanger (David), Mary Smulsky (Scott), Blase Van Buren (Jackie) and Janice; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth Martuscello, Andrew Belanger, Brooke, Samuel Smulsky, Hailey and Collin Van Buren; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Talbot and Samantha Van Buren; and her brother David Kluska. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Janice's name may be made to the Thomas Corners Fire Department care of the Ladies Auxiliary, 5 Airport Road, Glenville, NY 12302.
