Janice K. Blase Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Kluska and Idabel Kluska (Bisonet); and her husband Frederick "Fred" Blase. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Talbot (Walter), Cynthia Van Buren (late Martin) and Caroline Blase (Lisa Joyce); her grandchildren, Susan Martuscello (Christopher), Catherine Belanger (David), Mary Smulsky (Scott), Blase Van Buren (Jackie) and Janice; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth Martuscello, Andrew Belanger, Brooke, Samuel Smulsky, Hailey and Collin Van Buren; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Talbot and Samantha Van Buren; and her brother David Kluska. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home (9 Glenridge Rd, Schenectady, NY 12302). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Janice's name may be made to the Thomas Corners Fire Department care of the Ladies Auxiliary, 5 Airport Road, Glenville, NY 12302.
