He is survived by: his parent Augusta Thiel (Glittenberg); his wife Ethyle Thiel (Jones); his daughters, Kristen Brooks, Lindsay Stockwell (Robert), Marsha Briggs (Clark) and Karen Luther (Al); his grandchildren, Jennifer Laux (Victor), Robert Stockwell (Ashley), Katherine Keller (Richard), Jessica Brooks, Peej Rice (Mike), Heather Brooks, Jeremy Brooks (Heather), Amanda Luther (Phillip Dennis Jr.) and Megan Luther; and his sister Ruth Graham. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and a nephew.
