He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos J. Shanty and Jennie M. Shanty (Myers); his grandson Jason "Jay" Trier; and his siblings, Clarence Shanty, Enos Shanty and Alberta Dussault.
He is survived by: his wife Marty Shanty; his daughters, Diana Shanty (Mike Parks) and Tamra Trier (Eric); his grandsons, Alexander Tebano, Cody Trier and Josh Trier; and his sister Edith Crandall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cliff's memory to the Mohawk.
