He was predeceased by : his parents, Giuseppe Cannavo and Domenica Cannavo (Saglimbeni); his wife Rose (Pino); his sons, Joseph Cannavo (Claudia) and Frank Cannavo (Lisa); his siblings, Carmen Cannavo and Carmela Cannavo (Peter); and his siblings-in-law, Maria Genovese (Pietro), Caterina Ando (Bruno) and Antonino Pino.

He is survived by : his siblings-in-law, Santo Pino (Gloria) and Joan Pino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
