She was predeceased by : her parents, Lilyan Rita Burton Brown and James Morgan Brown; her husband Thomas Hughes; and her sisters, Elaine Whelton (Maurice) and Phyllis Corcoran (Matthew).

She is survived by : her children, Thomas A. Hughes III (Celeste), Eileen Rose (James), Dennis Hughes (Bonnie), Brian Hughes and Erin Muller (Dan); her grandchildren, Miles Hughes (Elena Yaunke), Thomas Hughes IV (Jin), Isabel Hughes, Timothy Hughes (Alexandra), Noah Rose, Alyssa Hughes (Christopher Danforth), Paige Hughes, Keven Hughes, Jillian Muller and Piper Muller; and her great grandchildren, Terry and Brayden Hughes.
