He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Shapiro and Frances Shapiro (Carr). He is survived by: his children, Amy Shapiro and David Shapiro (Miriam); his grandson Estivie Insua-Shapiro; and the mother of his children Rita Shapiro (Gierka).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871). The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gerald Bh Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
