Stephen J. Hoover Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Hoover and Maxine Hoover (Earl); his brothers, William Jr. and Peter Hoover; and his daughter Elizabeth Hoover.
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Rose; his daughters, Kalista Dubiel (William) and Sarah Barnum (Walter); his grandchildren, Dr. Lillian Dubiel, Charlotte Dubiel, William E. Dubiel, Maeve and Lydia Barnum; his siblings, Michael Hoover of Glens Falls, Robert Hoover (Karen) of Averil Park, Christine Greene of Buffalo, NY and Catherine Smith (Albert) of Kunkellville, PA; and his extended family, David Carll, Daniel Carll, Stephanie Melendez, James Carll (Salina) and Joseph Carll (Sandy). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren over 20 nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Stephen retired from teaching in 2011, proud of his contributions to the field of botany, including the publication of over 10 research papers.
