He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Tripp and Myrtle Tripp (Durkee); and his siblings, Marjorie Liddle, Vera Priest, Myron Tripp, June Kelly and Stanley Tripp.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce McDougall; his children, Maureen O'Connor and Bradley Tripp; his grandson Sean O'Connor; his sister Linda Hanna (Walt); and his sister-in-law Helene Tripp. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
