He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Margaret King Sr. (Whaley); his son Joseph E. King III; and his siblings, Leonard King and Patricia Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Linda King (Weeks); his children, Leann Flores (Mark Harrington) and Michael Flores (Tammie); and his siblings-in-law, Lois King and Robert Carpenter. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
