He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert F. Sr. Hanson and Marjorie Hanson (Willy); his son Herbert F. Hanson III; and his siblings, Donald Hanson, Thomas Hanson, Bette Sousie and Carole VanNostrand.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Hanson; his daughter Barbara Longden (Dave); his grandchildren, Matthew Graham (Jennifer) and Robbie Graham (Brooke); and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Evan and Zachary Graham.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home (82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Herbie's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
