With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory J. Monroe Sr. of Glens Falls, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 63. Though Gregory may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Monroe (Curren) and Wilbur Monroe Jr.; and his wife Christina Monroe (Simione). He is survived by: his children, Erica Monroe (Steve Hannigan) and Gregory Monroe Jr. (Jamie); his granddaughter Ava; and his siblings, JoAnne DeJong, Tina Iverson, Derek Monroe (Lillian Hayes), Kevin Monroe (Mary) and Raymond Monroe. He is also survived by Several in-laws and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Ryan White Program Support Group, 161 Carey Road, building 1, Queensbury, NY 12804, in memory of Greg, who greatly valued their support over the years.
