He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Potter and Dorothy Potter (Hopkins); his wife Esther Katie Potter (Durkee); and his brothers, Robert Potter of Brooksville, FL and Donald Potter of Roanoke, VA..
He is survived by: his children, Linda Gillis (Edward) of Cleverdale, Diane Taylor (Kevin), NJ, Kathy McDonough of Stillwater, Steven Potter of Norfolk, VA and Gregory Potter (Karen) of Queensbury; his siblings, Marilyn Smith, June Williams of Brooksville, FL and Richard Potter (Gerald) of Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Lynetta (Mike), Anthony, Scott (Nicole), Crystal (Josh), Mark, Zachary, Ethan, Joseph, Thomas and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Gianna, Travis, Eva and Tiffany.
