He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Burns and Dolores V. Burns (Mosseau); his wife Jeanne Burns (Buckley); and his siblings, John "Bud" Burns and Patricia Cote.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig A. Burns (Amy L. Burns) of Greenwich and Eric W. Burns (Paul R. Burns) of Fort Edward; his brothers, Edward "Ned" Burns of Melrose and Michael; his sister-in-law Joanne Burns of Troy; his grandchildren, Riley and Kasia Burns; and his nieces and nephews, Michaela, Casey, John, David and Christopher.
