She is survived by: her parent Edith Colvin (Wade); her husband Hiram; her children, Kelly Brown Steele (John) of Hartford and Kathy Durkee (Kevin); her grandchildren, Justin Brown of Glens Falls, Seth Brown (Donna Rae) of Hudson Falls, Kyle Durkee and Ryan Durkee; her siblings, Edward Colvin (Diane), Paul Colvin (Charlene), Ronald Colvin (Joan), Beatrice Tilford (Charles) and Jody Colvin; her siblings-in-law, Carl Taylor (Gloria), Richard Ward (Judy), Chauncey Ward, Bernice Ward, Muriel Taylor, Betty Taylor and Josephine DeVecchi; and her uncle Clyde Wade.

Memorial donations in Carol's memory can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
