We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2024, at the age of 90, Joan F Dowd of Glendale, New York, born in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Martin Ennis; her spouse Francis J. Dowd; and her son Frank. She is survived by: her mother Helen Ennis; and her children, Joan, William, Brian, Helene and Kathleen.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Patrick's RC Church, Bay Ridge Brooklyn.
