He is survived by: his wife Dawn M. Hyde; his children, Amy J. Gerstenschlager of Philadelphia, NY, Tina M. Gerstenschlager of Watertown, NY, Joseph A. Gerstenschlager (Nicole) of Brownville, NY, Kevin M. Gerstenschlager (Elissa) of Watertown, NY, Katelyn A. Gerstenschlager of Watertown, NY and Thomas J. (Jenna); his siblings, Linda Reichert of West Virginia, Brianna Gerstenschlager of Evans Mills, NY, Michael Altmire (Susan) of Alabama, Stephen Selley (Theresia) of Copenhagen, NY, Patricia Beattie (Scott) of Mannsville, NY and Ann Cousins of Black River, NY; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Gerstenschlager of Brownville, NY. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home (117 N Massey St, Watertown, NY 13601). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Dostie Hall (320 W Lynde St, Watertown, NY 13601).
