He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nanette; his children, Linda Gardiner, Laurie Schaefer (Phil), Suzanne Uhrynuk (Mark) and Jennifer Allen (David); his grandchildren, Will Gardiner (Colleen), Graham Gardiner (Alex), James Gardiner, Emily Uhrynuk, Annabel Uhrynuk, Jack Allen and Sam Allen; his great grandchild Catherine Gardiner; his siblings, Barbara Riske, Catherine Binning and James Simpson (Susan); and his brother-in-law Jim Upton. He was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces.
