With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin L. Mapes Jr. of Glen Aubrey, New York, who passed away on October 26, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Letha Hoover and Edwin Mapes, Sr.; and his brother David Mapes. He is survived by: his significant other Kathleen A. Manzer; his sister Joann Beavers; and his daughters, Veronica Gober (Hank), Tammy Avery (Bruce), Karen Hawley (Matthew), Melissa Vanvorce (Richard), Julie Shampang (Kenneth), Staci Shoemaker and Amy Sabo (Shawn). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
