He was predeceased by: his wife Jacquelyne Birdsall; his parents, Earl Birdsall and Gertrude Birdsall; and his sister Linda Matyjewicz. He is survived by: his children, David S. Birdsall and Denise Humphrey (Timothy); his sister Marcia Sculley; his mother-in-law Ann Figura; his grandchildren, Leah and Brendan Humphrey; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Kinner, Brenda Kane, Sharon Shrenzel and Sergius Figura.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in David's name to be made to: The Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760.
