Mary Jane's loving nature and enduring spirit lit up my family's lives when we met her in July 2011 in New York City. “To Mary Jane's Family, I am so sorry to discover the passing of Mary Jane. My belated thoughts and prayers are with you all. You may not be aware, but I was Mary Jane's second cousin from England. My grandfather, William Robert Burns and Mary Jane's grandfather, Albert Burns Gillam, were brothers. We discovered each other through our love for genealogy, but we only met once during my family's visit to New York in July 2011.
